Helena had the opportunity to navigate a career in South Africa, Namibia, Belgium, the Czech Republic and the United States of America. These experiences inspired a unique understanding of local and global issues and a realisation that context, culture, and beliefs play a significant role in shaping organisational, team and individuals’ behaviors and decisions. Helena returned to South Africa in 2016 and is working independently in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
She has extensive experience in various industries in the Human Resources field, and doing pro-bono work. Her expertise includes Assessments, Competency and Organizational Capability design, Development of Levels of Work and alignment to other processes, Job Family design and development, Job analysis, Role design, Training, Coaching, and Career and Personal Development.
Helena holds a BA (Ed) Degree in Psychology and Education from North-West University, and a BA (Hons) Degree in Psychology from University of Johannesburg. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Organisational Psychology whilst living in Prague, the Czech Republic through Walden University. She has a passion for continuous development in the fast-changing world and completed Post Graduate Studies in International/Cross-Cultural Issues in Organisations, Leadership and the Process of Change, Psychology of Organisational Behaviour, Consulting for Change, Leadership Coaching, and Cross-cultural coaching in a globally diverse world, whilst living in the USA. She is a member of the South African Heath Professions Council (HPCSA), is a registered Psychometrist and is certified and accredited in the use of several psychometric assessments.
Helena has a special interest in diversity and understanding people in their own cultural environment and has discovered how culture and opportunity can influence success and individual well-being.
